Briggs & sratton 16hp help please.

Hi Guys
I came to start my Max II and notice it's not charging , checked with meter on the battery and still 12v nothing going in, and amp meter not moving, any ideas???
Been a while since I had time to play on my Max II due to house move,.

Voltage regulator. I've had to change a few of them.

Tested volts coming out of the stator and reads 28v then tested the red wire coming out of voltage reg and nothing , no volts what's so ever.

Likely AC current coming out of the stator, so if you checked it for DC that's not a good reading. But, since you read some voltage from the stator presumably its working. So likely the regulator.

Any one tried the copy voltage regs in stead of the GENUINE Briggs part?

I have the off brand ones from amazon. No issues so far and its been years.
