  • Vapor Lock

I've been fighting a vapor lock problem on my 14 hp twin cylinder vanguard that's in a 1970 Argo for a while now. The fuel pump was located right next to valve cover which was 3 inches from the exhaust. Today I moved the pump to the side of the engine down near the pull starter. I just got finished test driving it and it runs like a charm. I drove it like a rental too. I wanted to really put it though the ringer to see if I could get it to vapor lock again but it never did. Just thought I would pass this along in case anyone else has this problem with the Vanguard engine.
Finding out that these machines are never actually "finished"
