My "new" hustler came with a brand new Kohler 440 twin two stroke that came from Richard's Relics..The hustler currently has a CCW twin two stroke in it with low compression so I think I'm going to just switch to the new motor since the electronics are more up to date and hopefully more reliable. I haven't gotten a chance to compare the motors very closely, will the single carb setup and exhaust off the CCW fit the Kohler and more importantly perform correctly? Any thoughts would be appreciated...

I see you're on the way with your project. I'm not sure if the the exhaust from the ccw fits your Kohler but here is some info for you.
If you cant find hustler parts that fit The 75- 76 rupp nitro snowmobiles used this engine so you might contact a vintage parts dealer (there are a ton) and track down the exhaust and try to modify it for the hustler. I'm sure you know the 2 strokes are very dependent on having the correct exhaust.

Also here is a page with Kohler manuals for free

If you scroll down you will see the 2 stroke manual. You have to save it to open it.
