Briggs 16 carb connection

The throttle was sticking so I removed the air cleaner housing to get to it and found this carb hose attachment not connected to anything. Can someone tell me where it goes? image.jpg

It's the small angled tube on the top and to the right.

It's the vent. It is just open to atmosphere.
