I'm in the process of building up my new Hustler. I would like to convert it from the old Walbro carb to a Mikuni.
1. The original carburetor is a walbro. It utilized several spacers to connect the intake manifold to the carb. When I use the Mikuni flange should I use the spacers as well? Is there any reason for the spacers other than moving the carb further out from the engine?

2. Does anyone have a lead on a company that makes a throttle cable that would connect to the Mikuni carb that would be long enough for a Hustler. Any companies that make custom cables would also be helpful.
3. Also I'm considering a Dual carb setup. I'm unsure on what I would use for intake flanges to mount the carbs to. Would this be something available or would it require something to be fabricated? I know that the mid 70's mercury trail twister snowmobile used dual carbs with this engine. Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks in advance
Mike
