I can't find any serial/part numbers to be able to determine which type of motor i have in my argo that i recently bought. It's a tecumseh because of the sticker on the flywheel cover. Even the carb doesn't have any numbers on it, all that is stamped on it is walbro. I need to know the proper part numbers because i want to rebuild it because i'm sure it's at least 20 years old and it smokes alot when i started it, and it seems to leak some oil. Here are some pictures that may help id this engine. Also are tehre any good web sites to buy parts?

What is the difference between the tecumseh 16hp and 18hp parts wise. I wonder how interchangable the parts are beacuse iam still not sure which i have there isn't anything stamped on it . There used to to be a sticker on the the flywheel cover but it's mangled and unreadable.

ArgoGirb67; Is that a beer or a Pepsi in your hand? Nice machine. What's this about Tecumseh going out of business? Are you chain-yankin'? Completely belly-up or just cuttin' w-a-a-a-ay back. I always thought Tecumseh was pertty strong on the market. Being from Wisconsin, I see their engines on 90-95% of the reputable snowblowers. (Ithink they call their "Snowblower" engine a "Snow King" or something like that. It's all just nuts and bolts.

I've got an OH160 that runs but is no longer in a machine.
If I remember correctly, the difference between the OH160 and OH180 is the OD of the piston, that's it.
Do an internet search for parts as some are still available in small engine repair locations (not through Tecumseh).
