Hi everyone. I got a old ARGO 6x6 with a tecumseh 16hp engine. can anyone tell my what the valve clearences are for that engine. the number is OH 160 1700 78A Ser 91661. and anyone know what year that that engine is? thanks !

I'm not sure what years the engine came in Argos, but it's the same model that was used in the Attex Tomahawk in 77, 78, 79, and 80. The valve clearance is .005" for the intake and .010" for the exhaust valve.Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

Last digit should be a letter not "1" to designate line, shift or plant it was manufactured.
