What horse power is that engine? Is it enough for the hustler? I'm not looking for speed, I just want this thing to be like a tractor and carry a couple people.

That is a 16hp powermax engine found on ebay. Great engine for the price.

My brother has a 13hp clone and is very close to same as mine power wise. His machine does run a T20 and mine is a 16hp bakerhill. So its not a complete true comparison . But if I did it again I would feel comfortable with the 13hp.

My st300 lil truck conversion is running a 8hp Tecumseh with only about 1/2 throttle. It is slow enough for Little Larry to drive safely and still has lots of torque. I was so happy when I tested it as I originally though, pss 8HP, thats nothin........ Nope wrong. It is still a real capable machine and is light weight and gets great mileage!!!

Hi, What brand clutch did you put on the PowerMax? I'm looking at doing the same thing with my Max IV.

                    Hello,
I have always used a comet 40 on mine untile know, I just put some salsbury clutches together and made one 4 stroke one and am going to try that. It is bigger so Im hoping I can get more speed out of it. The comet 40 is smaller diameter and I am hoping that has been my culprit for my slow speed. Like 15-20mph. Just got new belt and testing continues for the salsbury.

I believe kestianj used a comet duster clutch?

                      Powermax Motor

looks like a few of us are going to the power max.just got the word from don mine is done.going to stop down over the week end on the way back from the mountain hide away. i think it's going to be a great little motor for the price.and if it is half as good as a honda it is going to be great.
