  • ccw? a chaparell??

I have a ccw with a maple leaf. Canadian made? I have an early hustler 880 with the ccw 2cyl,2 stroke. Not sure of the CC's. 340,440?

What does CCW stand for? I've seen allot of mention of chaparells and kohlers/briggs.

The top air chamber cover is missing. no tags on this engine other than the CCW and maple leaf on the recoil.

Can anyone help with an I.D. for part searching?

The CCW 340 was the factory engine in early model fiberglass body Hustlers. CCW's were great motors. There should be a number showing the displacement somewhere on the crank case or cylinder jugs.

            thank you...

Thanks jpswift1. That is exactly what I wanted to know. It turns over okay. compression might be questionable. I'll check that.

I need the top air cooling duct that goes over the cylinders from the fan to the hose that leads outside the hull.

06chops. Are the books you have in digital(PDF) or will you need to scan everything. Thanks for the offer. I'll know more soon.

Right now my chassis is being sandbalsted and powder coated. So my attention turned to the engine. I really wanted a four stroker, but this engine seems real nice.

I have a complete CCW out of my machine...I was told mine was a 440 by the previous owner, but I agree with jp that's it's more than likely the 340. I'm putting a NOS kohler in my hustler so I may let the CCW go if you're interested. I'm told it will run but since I had the new motor I never played with it so I'm not too certain about the details.
