hey guys,i have a chance to get a honda 24 tappered shaft 10:1,what clutches fit the 10:1 shaft

That tapered shaft engine would most likely be off of a generator. I'm pretty sure you need a straight, keyed shaft since most 4 stroke clutches only fit this style, not tapered. Maybe someone with 2 stroke clutch experience could chime in and say if an old snowmobile clutch would fit. If it were to fit, you'd have to change the weights around since the RPM's that the clutch engages at would differ.

I really have no clue about 4 wheeler stuff. Your best bet would be to call up a Polaris dealer and ask.

I know a lot about polaris but not familiar with the honda shaft.I think the clutch would work if it will pull up on the tapered part of the shaft and stay tight.I know the polaris uses the same width belt.I have thought about putting a polaris sportsman 700 motor in one of my 6x6 40 horses.

Actually my John Deere Gator 6x4 has a tapered shaft on the Kawasaki, awesome clutch and same price as most other comparible clutches out there, just go to a JD dealership and i'm sure they will be happy to show you one

ok got to looking, the 10:1 tapered shaft is 30mm,most of all snowmobile clutches are 30mm,so i have the same clutch, this would be way better than the standered 6x6 clutches,i do know polaris, there great

If the taper is the same you should be in business. You will have to tune the clutch for a much lower engagement speed.
