  • M18 Kohler Compression Test

Well I did a compression test on my 87 Kohler one side is 85 to 90 LBS and the other side is 90 to 95 LBS. The manual says to rebuild if below 90 LBS my budget at this time says NO ! It seem to run fine on the bench idles nice and runs smooth at full throttle. When the rest of my argo is done I will throw the engine in and give it a go. Is there any good additives than can be used to help bring up compression assuming its rings and not valves. Thanks Tim

YES...... half litre of Lucas oil stabalizer the rest oil of your choice, that stuff helps out any old engine lacking a bit of compression, i use that in all my machines, works amazing, good luck Tim
