  • Hey!... New to Forum with Questions on JLO L395L

    Hello,
A friend gave me this motor when I told him I was looking for a power plant for a small mill I'm building. I've researched it a bit; first to find out what it was, then for manuals and parts. I've since learned it was not a 4 stroke engine which may not be the best choice for powering a mill, but got wound up in getting it running anyway. From what I've read via the internet research, this thing has lotsa' torque and'll scream. So I'm kinda' hooked in another project... dyin' to hear this thing run! The friend told me he thought the connecting rod was broken but he also had thought the L395L had come off of a pump. I love where they(manufacturer) stuck the spec. plate... back of the flywheel housing 1/2" away from the throttle linkage.
If anyone has manuals, parts or any other helpful information, I'd appreciate hearing back.
    Thanks, Phil

    L395

Is it 1 or 2 cylinders? I have a single cylinder L395 that runs well. It has good torque. They vibrate more than just about anything. It requires 100 octane leaded premix. Parts seem scarce.
