should my Kohler 18 have an oil filter?

So while doing my last oil change on my 88 argo with the Kohler 18 I couldn't find an oil filter on it and wonder where to look again?

no answers yet hey? well I've reached around under it for quite awhile jsut getting greasy lol anyways just wondering where to narrow my search in on? thanks guys

Your oil filter is directly in front of your dipstick. Its a tight fit but you can reach down in and feel it from the front.When i change mine i take the belt off,cut a 2 L milk jug so its just high enough to slide in there and then I got my son to stand and pass me things as i needed them.I laid in the argo semi upside down.An oil filter wrench was needed for mine,it must have been there a long time.Got my filter at napa. Hope this helps.
