Are there any ways to quiet a 2-stroke engine beyond a new muffler? Perhaps a longer tail pipe, bigger muffler? Other?

Best way I know is turn the key off. That may be only way.
No seriously, coosaridgerider is right. I have hear some pretty quite 2 stoke and I think its all in the muffler/silencer design. Im not sure how to do it on a tiger but there is also that sound insulation padding you can get to block it in the engine compartment. Being front engine may not help though.
My brothers attex is quiter then mine because he has a hood. My engine isnt covered on my 208tt and it make it a lot louder.

im not quite to this stag with my attex, but with everyone chiming in i figure this would be a good time to find out.
i'm curious about a reasonably priced muffler/silencer that would quite down my two stroke by a great deal. brand? and model?
thanks

Thanks for filing your profile out Simpleton,
The only tiger I ever drove had a 8hp briggs in it. I cant remember the exhaust at all. I bet it was just a normal engine mounted muffler though. I do remember the motor wasnt in there right and the motor was not straight.
