I was messing with the antique jiger I bought and had an idea. The engine in it is ancient and probably a little harder than hard to find parts for.
I happen to have the 250cc engine from a big red sitting on the shelf. This would give me the option of reverse which this rig didn't have originally, plus the low range. I am fairly certain I have the fab skills to get the engine hooked up and whatever fiberglass work will be required to make it all a fit.
Figure I can run the shifter out the front of the engine cover and put the throttle on the stick.
Has anyone ever gone this route?
