  • Power draw for new Offroad Lights

I want to add some offroad lights to my max 6x6 with 16hp engine. Does anyone know what the stock alternator can handle? I was thinking of getting an extra battery for the draw.

If it was me and Ill say SOON IT WIL BE.( ) Id run an extra battery or a bigger 1.
Watch what the wattage is on the lights. If you can find them Id look for some L.E.D.'s might cost a little more but you will save on the wattage.

Try a set of High Intensity Discharge. super bright and very low amp draw

Amps x volts = watts so watts divided by volts = amp draw if you have a 100 watt bulb it will draw 8.33 amps at 12 vdc.
