  • Tecumseh or Kohler

I purchased a scrambler 1500. The engine has no ID marks nor an air schroud. It is a single cylinder OHV. Carb is a walbro - numbes ending in -74 maybe thats the year. It looks likem a Kohler K361 but I bought an air shroud and it sure not going to fit. I really do not know what I have? Any way to identify it? I was trying to look up old Tecumseh's or pics but have not come up with much. It runs but hard to start. Carb needs some work too. Any suggestions ? thanks

      Tecumseh

I believe it is a Tecumseh ohv XL 16 cast iron - now where to find parts - nothing I can find on the net - are these hard to find parts for plus service manual - carb parts, air shroud, gaskets for OHV, plus points - I think I have to pull the flywheel for that?
