for all you guys who have kohlers or other similar v-twin motors should take some lessons from these guys. just think of 125 hp in a little max or argo think of it in a springer.

yea im sure you would have to figure out how to cool and stuff but really with some of those parts would surely help horsepower and really should make a difference

Talked with the gentleman that builds those engines. The engine that you are looking at is probably a alcohol burner. They are quiet impressive with their engines and can be set up for our application. They will turn in the 10 band for a short time and just think of the hole shot you would get.

I thought it would be cool to see a 6x6 with 2 extra wheels. Not an 8x8 but a 6x6 with a wheelie bar to stop it from flipping.Seems like the machines are limited by the no gears and no clutch bit though. But for what the machines were designed for,all terrain and the ability to float they excel at and those alone are to massive hurdles to overcome.

                  power is sweet

power is sweet but as i know now. 5 axles snapped in half , 15 grade 8 bolts like tooth picks and yesterday middle sprocket tube like it was plastic. the axles and grade 8 bolts and sprocket tubes are the weakest point on bruiser. HAS anyone ever bent or broke a whipper axles??? It will be bruiser next upgrade. It does not go to far from the house anymore. All of this in less than 25 hours if that of riding

Jeffrey9079,sounds like you've got that motor running sweet.About you're bolts, you could go up to grade 12{don't know you're availability}but I've used then here in Australia. We make a lot of bolts locally{ajax, sutton to name a few}but I would try running grade 5 on 1 of the wheels. The harder the bolt, the less flex the bolt can withstand before snapping. The grading is how much it takes to rip the head off being pulled straight not bending the bolt.On 1 of my machines the grade 8s were snapping.I went in for grade 12s and the bolts guy asked the application. On hearing it was bolting 2 bosses together that were flexing,he suggested going down to grade 5.These bolts haven't broken since. The weaker bolts allow flex or bending without breaking.Worth a try.

                      thanks for the info

i am not sure of grade of axle bolt attex used for the hubs and sprocket tubes but they snapped way to easy. when i used the factory bolts after bruiser resurection a ten minute ride resulted in 2 or 3 wheel coming off. I will try replacing some with grade 5. i am regreting the engine choice only because i should of got some 1 1/4" whipper axles. When i get some i try like hell to break them. #47 pounds of torque. I do not have money for axles and promised i would finish the scrambler and 2 other attexs. I have a new 13 horse powermax pull start engine for the scrambler. i am thinking 16 horse powermax for the other 2 attex. HOW MANY HOURS DO YOU GUYS GET RIDING BEFORE BREAKING BOLTS OR SOMETHING .take it i am not easy on it

i'm running an 18 briggs in 1 machine and 400 jlo in the other. and have never broken a bolt. i run grade 8. make sure your bolts are "body bound". http://www.6x6world.com/forums/gener...ound-bolt.html if you have any slop between the bolt and axle, or tube, they can work back and forth to wear and eventually break the bolt. i broke an axle at busco, and i have bent A LOT of axles. i drive my machines far worse than i drive a rental, but knock on wood, haven't been snapping axle bolts.

Heck, I've broke one of my axles on the Spider... on the inside of the car. I posted it somewhere in the Attex Springer thread over a year ago. Never did figure out what might have caused it. Imperfect bar of steel.

%&#$ happens sometimes. It's how you drive, how heavy your car is & sometimes a willingness to admit to hitting that ditch, tree or rock. sometimes. Attex is a light machine compared to most, but the 1" axle is it's weakest link, especially when you drill a hole thru it. Racerone is doing the best thing he can to avoid some of the recurring problems with 1" axles.

Bryan (Benrich) is my best local guy that has my 1 1/4" axles in his Attex. He beats the %$#* out of them & himself when we go riding. (He's not springered). But he knows, & I know that it's just a matter of time. Hopefully a long time. There really is no such thing as cryptonite.

you mean like carrying a "bucket of axles" to every ride???
