need help with two stroke

I have a hustler with the kohler 440 2AS need help with wiring to the cdi box only fires on one cylander also should i try to rebuild carb or buy a new one from somewhere will also have to repair transmission as they tell me this is the reason my machine was being sold any help or tips would be appreciated thanks in advance

If I'm remembering correctly, the 2AS has a common coil with two secondary wires going to the plugs: is that right? If it is, your problem is in the secondary circuit: either a plug, wire, or the coil itself. Both plugs fire at the same time in this type of system.

Does it use a Walbro carburetor? They're not a bad unit if you keep an extra diaphram kit on hand. You can still get kits for them, or you could change it for a 32-36mm mikuni VM type which are more dependable.
