  • Tach/Dwell meter

    Hey all,
I have a working FOX Valley "Professional" model#256 Tach/dwell meter that I used on my Vettes/SS/stuff and boat engines, will I need this for tuning 2cycles or 4cycle BS Vanguard type motors?
If not, gonna throw it on ebay !
The trouble with retirement is.... I never get a day off !!!!

IMO Tach/Dwell meters are becoming a thing of the past with the computer controlled engines these days. Unless you plan on working on older (pre electronic ignition) engines, there really is no use. I, myself have different meters/equipment for those older systems that I haven't used in years. I too considered tossing them to ebay.
It's all just nuts and bolts.

Classic car mechanics might want them, for cars with original distributors. I have an '80 model mercruiser that has points, etc.
