Hey guys, this is my first post here. I picked up a max 2 a couple of weeks ago with a 16 briggs in it and I love 6 wheeling. My question is that I want to upgrade to a more powerful engine and I was wonderin about the 23 briggs? It seems like it would be a good engine as my 16 is and its a bit cheaper than the kohler. Does anybody have experience or opinions on this engine?

That's what I'd put in it. Order one with a 1" shaft and use your same clutch, it should bolt right in. The exhaust won't bolt up. I know RI likes to sell the kohler kit with exhaust and everything, but I love the vanguard.

i put the 23hp in my max 2 i bought a head pipe from rc and welded it to my factory exhaust it worked fine if you really want to make it go better call Ec distributing and but the high rev kit and remove your governor.Comment
