    Briggs Engine Indentification Location

    Looking for the identification #'s for my B&S 16HP Vanguard2 engine in my 1993 Argo, where on the engine are the numbers stamped?

    Mine is a kohler, specs.are on the engine shroud.Should be the same for a Briggs I would think. Hope this helps.

      a lot of briggs are stamped at the base of the engine where it bolts down to the machine

        I found it with a light and a mirror!! it's on the red shroud in the front.
