Help with non running motor

hello my name is mason i just purchased a 1970 seirra trail boss it has a kohler motor model# k295-1st it is a 2cycle motor it has good spark 150psi compression and the cylinder is getting fuel but it wont even pop. does anyone have any suggestion that i can try? thank u

Hi Mason, Welcome to the site. Remember all engines need 4 basic things to run: air/fuel mixture, compression, spark, and proper timing. If you have those it will run to some degree.

well then im going with the timing and when i get home from work thats the first thing i will do thanks for the responce.

tonighttook the shroud/hat off the kohler 295cc 2stroke motor waiting for friend to bringover pulley going to check the inards to make sure everyhtingis ok hopefull this will get me a step closer to progresss

timning set motor runs adjusted carb trail boss moves forward and reverse but the weird thing is that it is not turning so good and im not sure what kind of fluid to put in transmission
