Don is right. Dont worry. No need to stress. It just so happens that 100% of the 6 wheeler crowd likes to tinker. We need to in order to keep these machines going. Also its a lot easier working on other peoples stuff then your own.

Taking it over to my dad's(Plumcrazy) tonight and it will be there when he gets there. I think that will be friday morning or thursday night not sure. Will need some EXPERTS to look at it for me. I plan on leaving right after work on friday. So I'm figuring sometime around 8-9, maybe sooner depending on how many cops I run into.

I'm not familiar with these engines as we don't get them over here, but a points ignition is a points ignition and it sounds to me like the wire that goes to the points is shorted to ground. It should have insulators of some kind where it goes on to the points so it doesn't ground out before it goes through the contacts. Usually fibre or plastic washers where the wire goes on that insulate the spring part of the points from the base part. I have had these split, and this will mean your light will stay on whether the points are open or closed when you are testing. If it has one set of points for both cylinders this would explain why neither cylinder is responding. It may be worth checking anyway.
