oh160 ignition coil

Hi i am having problems with my coil when i got my argo the coil was burnt out so i put a newer one on and the argo ran awsome till one day some one left the key on and burnt out the coil so i put another coil on and the engine ran great for a month now when the engine gets hot it just up and stops sparking but if u let the engine sit for an hour or 2 to cool down it start 2 spark again and run fine wat could the problem b could the battery i hav in it 2 big and maybe heating the coil up cause the barrery in my argo is a car battery

try disconnecting the kill switch wire from the stator. Run it and see if it stops sparking. If it keeps going, then it's the stator that needs replaced.

ok ill try that and also the engine cover i took it off one day it was running and when i went 2 put it back on it sparked when it made a conection with the head of the engine wat would cause that and the engine was running when i was putting the cover on

Your regulator/rectifier is grounded to the cover(i Think),check voltage running,hopefully you didnt fry it! 14.5V max.

ok thanks and i put on my old coil that didnt work when i got the argo and now it works fine with no problems
