So I'm currently looking for a basket case 8x8 to rebuild and being a big fan of diesel engines I'm thinking why not use the 15hp diesel kubota engine I own. What do you guys think too small and heavy. Has anyone here done a diesel conversion on their 6x6/ 8x8. Any advice would be appreciated!

I've got a 25 hp diesel in a Super Swamp Fox. Preliminary testing indicates its a bad boy. Once the weather cools down into single digits in Texas, I'll post photos/videos.
Torque is amazing. I'd say a 15 horse diesel will be more than adequate. With direct injection, my machine will idle up inclines that would stall a 25 hp gas motor.
