18HP Vanguard Muffler

Recently my 18HP Vanguard muffler on my Max IV broke where the pipes go into the can.

Factory wants like $230 for a new one.

I bought a welder and helmet for about $130 from HF. I'm trying to weld it back together, but am having a bit of trouble getting things aligned!

If my next few attempts fail does anyone no of an aftermarket muffler that works or have a used muffler willing to sell?

You can do something custom (look in the how-to section for an exhaust how-to by micmac) or you can look around your local small engine shops for a stock vanguard muffler. I believe you will just have to extend the pipe if you get one of those. It really depends on how much work you want to put into it.
