help tach on a hustler 950

how to hook one up to a brigs motor.i dont wont the one with the wire u wrap around the plug.im trying to figure out if i can hook one up.thanks

You are very limited with a Vtwin. Several members on the site including myself run the Equus brand tach. It uses an inductive pickup clamped around the plug wire. The one I use is the Equus 8068.

I'm also running the Equus that Mike mentioned in my racer. it seems to work well. i had to install the inductive lead on the front cylinder due to wire length issues and had problems getting it to work correctly. i finally turned the inductive lead around to face the "wrong" direction and it has worked perfectly ever since.

I find that inductive lead very sensitive.. I've had to bump it around till things work.
