    I bought a new belt that's supposed to fit but I haven't ran it yet.

    A&I A-1930V491-PIX. A bd 51
    1984 Hustler 980 and some other toys that won't even swim.

      finally! the larger of the 2 springs (3rd pic) is very loose unless the engine is running. they were pretty tough to get pics of, so I'm hoping these are at least somewhat helpful.

          I'm still running the original belt, and the #'s are long gone. there seems to be a lot of debate as to weather the original size belt is still in production. if you do a search for "hustler belt" you will find several threads on the topic. it will take some digging, but you can find what others are using
