  • Tecumseh XL16 Charging Problems

I'm still new to this and hopping for a little advise. I have a 1990 MAX II with the Tecumseh XL16 the motor is real strong but the elec. system is failing. Are there any good ways to retro fit say a delco altornator? Any and all ideas welcome.Because when the Quad that you pull out of the mud starts rite up and passes you out on ice.He wont let you here the end of it.(until spring when he's stuck again)

I got a pully from fleet farm, bored it out too the alternator shaft size, drilled it for a roll pin and set the set screw got a 3/8 belt from fleet and made a bracket. I'll post pics later
