    ok i found a secret weapon to sludged up carbs

    before this season of frozen everything i took a few filthy carbs to the test
    i bought a 570 exciter MiC carbs were junk 10 years of varnish and rust
    a stuck choke plunger
    well i did learn this from trying it and the movie grand torino
    if you have a stuck choke plunger MIC KEIHIN ETC it is made from brass , carb is aluminum.. take some plain old white vinager pour a little down the hole with teh stuck plunger and wait about 24 hours then it should come right out with no argument vinager is an acid that eats corrosion incl;yding rust acetic acid=vinager

    so that choke issue was fixxed
    next carbs are full of scumm
    i took a small tub filled it with a mixture of
    60 percent water , 39 percent vinager
    added about 1 ounce of purple powerlike degreaser {{it was cheap}
    i also added some pool chemical otherwise known as salt , rock salt or table salt would work
    after 3 days of soaking all he scum came off anbd i cleaned her off with water first and then used carb cleaner
    like brand new
    i also did not feel like buying new needles and seats so i lapped the needle valves together with rubbing compound
    it worked for me
    your results may vary slightly
