it will run it. but i'm running one like it on a 400jlo. u might need a 34 or 36 . check with don he knows them in and out . robbie

I think a 32 would be too small for the G50B... It will run, but you probably won't see full performance, and might have trouble getting the jets right. I'd keep searching for something in the 36mm range. also, you will need to measure your rubber mounting flange to know if it will attach to your engine.

My superchief manual says my G50B has a VM30-159??, with a 185 main jet.

Well I bought the mikuni vm34

The 34 should feed it just fine. Tango's right, the stock carb is a VM30 and they run good from the factory, but you can get them to open up a little more with a bigger carburetor. I'm not sure what the jetting will be in the one you bought, but it's likely you'll have to experiment a little with other main jets, and maybe idle jets as well.

The link won't work the way you have it, but you can still search ebay for "290514374102", which leads you to your carburetor's listing. That VM34 should work well. One small hiccup you MAY run into is that the stock Mikuni 30mm rubber flange that your original carburetor mounted to likely won't be large enough to accomodate the 34mm carb you just bought. I seem to remember that the 32 and 34 Mikunis shared the same flange, but don't quote me on it. I think the 30mm carb flange is a bit smaller. Chaparral (Xenoah) made different intake manifolds, and Mikuni made different flanges for larger carburetors. There used to be a large-throat manifold on ebay, but I can't seem to find it. I can't remember if the flange came with it or not. You may end up needing to source one from somewhere based on the dimensions of the carb outlet and the bolt spacing on your manifold.

EDIT:: I found the listing for the manifold, ebay item 120488110984. Ebay has been linking items very strangely lately, so just cut/paste that number into and ebay search and it'll pop up. Again, I can't guarantee that you need this, but if you wind up needing the larger flange, you may end up needing the larger manifold. Just in case....
