  • mikuni vm-34 on jlo rockwell 340

    been looking at diffrent carb ,have tilloston hd ,rebuilt it and still not right ,if i go with the mikuni 34mm,and mounting flange ,what about throttle cable ,do i have to change that too,or can i stay with what i have,just want to get in the mud and the tilloston is not going to get me there

    Hi:
    Do you already have the vm-34? reason I mention is I think thats to the larger side for that motor. My first reaction would be a 30 or 32 (Probably 32) as you'll loose low-end response with a large Carb. I think the 34 will work well enough, but more low end is usually more important in these. ( I have no JLO 340 experience, this is just thoughts. Don (site/real name) may chime in, or ask him if you're buying a carb. I'm sure he's tried everything that may work on that engine. (Or JBF, or Whipper, or JoeM, or Hydromike or TechFX, or.... Man this is a great site)

      hey thanks man,i thaught about that too,and just ordered the 32 ,and flange adapter,am checking on throttle cable,found one on sleds ,com,but it wasnt clear on cable lenth,i emailed them to find out lenth and havnt heard back yet,i appeciate your input

        new mikuni 32mm came in todaybut it has like 4 lines on it and i have no idea what lines go where,any help would be appreciated
