Carb problems

I just put a new mikuni 30mm card on my 400 jlo engine. The only way it will idle is to have the air mixture screw screwed all the way in and when I give it gas it bogs down any idea;s or suggestions?

Your pilot jet is plugged. Disassemble carb and clear all fuel passages with a fine wire and compressed air.

or your pilot jet is too small and try raising your needle up in your slide
