Well unfortunately no first ride but it runs amazing. I picked up a duster clutch from a friend for 50 dollars but it's off an old snowmobile. I am going to be ordering a pink spring as soon as I can find a place that sells them and when I can figure out how to open up the duster clutch.

Got my first ride in last night since I got the motor in and I changed the clutch spring in my duster. It moved around a bit but still wasn't engaging quite right but I took my son for a quick lap then shut it down. I pulled my clutch apart and drilled the holes in the pucks out a little bit and filled them with some lead from some old sinkers. Tonight i'll reassemble and test to see how I make out. If anyone knows where I can get parts for a smooth cover comet clutch it would be greatly appreciated as I want to order some new pucks.

So after some troubleshooting and trial and error I have a 1/2" hole drilled in each activator puck in the clutch and I filled the holes with lead. It is now engaging 100% so..... 50 dollar clutch from friend + $2.60 spring from sears+about 2 hours of trial and error and I am ready for some riding this weekend provided it isn't too cold.

So after my first short ride this weekend I realize I have some issues. It ran very good and the clutch is top notch now but should I be getting a lot of frame twist when going over uneven terrain? I also realized i have 2 bent axles and since I hadn't rode it yet and everything seemed tight I thought I was ok, I was mistaken, I also have some bad bearings and after the axles freed themselves of being stuck in rust I realized the lock collars were never put on the bearings properly so now they are stuck to the axle in the wrong spot. I'll be ripping it apart this week and ordering new bearings and flanges. Can I get the new 62mm flanges from buffalo bearings as well? I want the ones with the grease fitting as my current ones do not have them. Also while I have it apart I am going to replace all the bushings and add grease zerks so I can grease them. Can I also get the bushings at buffalo bearings? or is there a better place to get them.
