17 hp kohler replacement in my 1983 kt argo.

thanks to Rockdoctors engine swap thread,i now have the swap bug.my old kohler 17 hp runs great but i find that in slush or or snow with the tracks on,im really under powered.what would be a good engine to replace the 17?i dont want to get into a big project here because im thinking of selling the argo and upgrading to a newer one.i did find a good used 20 hp kohler command engine for a grand,but wanted to ask you guys which engine i should be looking for.

Plott, run over to princess auto and see when the 28hp EFI scooby doo engine will be on sale, if they put it on sale for around $1500 im buying one i looked it over when i was there and its pretty compact for that many ponies or i can sell you my 20hp Kawasaki but is out of my JD Gator and you would have to rig up a cooling system for it

your kawi is obviously liquid cooled,does it have a rad?

lol Plott Scooby Doo=Subaru lol yes my Kawasaki has a rad but it would be too complicated and expensive to buy the rest that you would need to stuff it in your Argo, just buy the 28hp EFI scooby doo!

went into princess auto to see a scooy doo.nice looking engines i think they were priced at $1900.00.if you see them on sale please give me a kick.
