  • 1982 argo 8 wheel oil filter?

    Hello all,
Just purchased my first argo (1982 eight wheel 18 HP Kohler series II)since my google searches always directed me here for any kind of valuable info I ended up joining the site. I'v read hundreds of posts, visited the local argo dealer, Looked at hundreds of pages of argo manuals and schematics. Looked over my engine, as best I could, including the use of a mirror and I cannot locate an oil filter that would be humanly possible to change without engine removal. I now believe it does not have one? Can someone please confirm or correct me on this. Thanks in advance!

WOW, I can't imagine not putting a filter on an engine that takes that kind of abuse. Mine has one at the very front down low.

looking at the front of machine it located at lower front right side. there is a bypass plate bolted were the filter/adapter should be located.
