I can source a 4-6psi electric facet pump for around $40. In your opinion would that suit? Or would I need a pressure regulator? The low press pumps 1-4psi in Aust start at $85 for a chinese generic and go up to $115 for a Facet brand.

I appreciate your input and have read some of your other posts on the success of the electric fuel pump conversion. Well done. I particularly like your warning light system for pump left on. !! I don't think its too much !

mine has been working great with no regulator. It is like night and day in the mountains, i can stand the thing up at 90 deg and it still will run :-) I mounted mine on the back rear frame rail, and will try and snap a picture tom. I think i went with a slightly pricer pump but that sounds good.

my 1987 briggs 16 hp twin was stalling and giving me all kinds of fuel starvation problems.My tank was way in front on my scrambler and I even put a fuel primer bulb in to help prime at startup.I considered the electric fuel pumpoption .Ifinally went to a lawn service place and paid $10 for a fuel pump rebuild kit and that solved all my problems.I even removed the fuel line primer ball I installed.I dont know about your kohler but the briggs was easy and I am glad I skipped the electric fuel pump route.The lawn repair mechanic said the little vacuum pump can pull 20 feet.Good Luck.

It's a diaphragm pump right? If so replace it with a couple psi electric fuel pump

I have a 17hp kohler in my 85 KB argo. There appears to be fuel leaking from the top cover of the fuel pump on the top of the motor. Is it likely a case of making a new gasket ? Any tips or traps I should know about before I pull it apart?
