Hey guys, just a weird thought.. If I replace the original flat 18hp with a 21~23hp vanguard. Could I use 2 uni-strut channel bars to make an adjustable engine mount off the original mount? It is for my hustler 980 build..

That would work, I would slot the unistrut, that way its a completely adjustable mount, rather than a series of mounting points. Check out the image of my Super Swamp Fox Diesel in images. The mounting plate for the engine is slotted front to back for maximum adustment, this helps as the belt wears, and allows for a greater selection of engine options than stock.
