Spare engine ?

This guy has a magnum 18 for sale for $500 obo. He says it works great. mine runs good but has the govenor unhooked and not sure how many hot suppers it had before i got it. should i get it for a spare or wait for mine to die and upgrade at that point. just put a new tranny in and now a clutch. any thoughts? what is the price like on this engine?

If you were here in the states, you could find similar engines in that price range. Maybe Canada is a little different as far as supply and demand goes with engines but if not, I would let it pass since you don't have an immediate need for it. Just keep your eyes open and you can probably find a steal of a deal on one somewhere else

best to fix your engine.you dont know the history of that guys motor,but you know what you have.regardless of the good price,you could be sinking in a lot of $$ in his engine where its cheaper to fix yours.
