carb questions-need help

ok the engine is a kioritz kec 340/5a with a walbro carb(cant find the model) . has the pump at the fuel tank and two fuel lines going in. i was told that this model has the built in fuel pump and looks to be a 70ish model....ran fine till the other day while driving full throttle then shut off , had to pinch the fuel line and keep cranking cuz gas was pouring from the carb but no leak . looks like the flow was too much. got it started then it happened again this time it wont start....after several tries got it to fire and throttle then revved it high and it died again. thinkink needle seat valve but i have a newer mikuni carb here i can put in it in place so what fuel line do i use of the two and do i just plug the other or what i need her running tip top before i can float test her

The Mikuni slide carb will need a fuel pump near the carb If the pump has and extra outlet just cap it. Mikuni round pumps have arrows cast in them for direction. The center bottom connection goes to the crank case. make sure your Mikuni carb is for a pump not gravity or you will have to change the float needle.

the mikuni is an IT-21 for gravity i believe, came off a bombardier 270, any idea on the jetting or needle sizes so i can narrow it down without alot of trial and error? the walbro is outdated and from what i hear not very popular trying to save on cost by going newer for replacement parts

First you need to absolutly know what kind of mikuni carb it is.

It can be a bit tedous to figure out what it is. I used this chart to figure out i had a VM_34 (which is a 40mm carb) and google search jetting for a single carb VM-34 440 twin with excelent results.

If it came out of a sled all you need is hook it to a fuel pump.

ok im having trouble visualizing....the original carb has a pump built in the replacement is gravity fed so would i then have to add a pump(if so any recomendations where to get one) or simply install the carb and change the float needle

great now i think the starter is shot the gear kicks out but doesnt spin anyone know where i can pick a new one up it was a bitch to get it out and back in

kioritz 340 with a walbro carb wont start

cleaned the carb maybe the 2 fuel lines are reversed on the carb anyone know which goes to which port?
also its a max2 can anyone tell me hot the steering bars come out ? i wqant to bend them slightly so that they sit more on the drivers seat for when i have passengers
