intake and exhaust spring size.
My brother and I are doing an overhaul on a regular 18hp b&s. While breaking it down to see what parts are good and bad, we noticed that the piston rings were a little worn, (oil resting on the top of the piston). We were given some somewhat new intake and exhaust cam springs. So while looking online on various small engine websites for new piston rings and also intake and exhaust springs, I noticed that there are different part numbers and prices for both the intake and exhaust head springs. My question, what are the sizes(height) and the amount of pressure each can hold within tolerance, and is there really a difference in the two?
