v twin tacho equus type ,dash mount ????????

Hi,
I have purchased a Equus tacho and would like to install in dash . The tacho comes with the clamp arrangement [post/pod mount type ]
Question To the people who have installed the tacho in the dash do u use the original type of clamp [supplied ] .My concerns would be using the clamp that it came with would be that the tach would vibrate in the dash .
Typical gauge in dash install involves the the use of a large retaining nut etc The tacho does have a thread cut into the body o/d .

I have one in the dash of my racer. I cut the hole in the dash so that it is a very tight fit, and actually have to screw the tach in/ out of the hole. vibration has not been an issue. I don't think I even bothered using the clamp
