  • Shaft too short for clutch, just!

    Hi guys,
Managed another Bargain on Ebay 1 and a half engine 1 complete Briggs Vanguard 21hp and the majority of another.

I've done a search and can find no clear answer

I give the output shaft a quick clean and put the comet 94c clutch on, to find it's fouls against the engine casing.

I thought about inserting some washers into the clutch shaft housing that fit snug over the bolt

What is your advice to solve the problem??

    Thanks in advance,
    Charlie.

Put some pics up in the my gallery of the engine and spares.
1, If it moves and it ain't suppose to use Duck tape.If it don't move and it's suppose to use WD40.

2, If it got tits or wheels it will cost you lots of money and grief.

Washers are cool to use. I used 3 on my 18 conversion in fact. Recreatives sells them as spacers, but i got a few from a farware store and just filled inside a little for the keyway to fit.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!
