Ok I'll try that. Would that keep fouling my plugs as well?

Are you sure its not electrical? Maybe weak energizing coil and when it revs puts more juice to the main coil so it runs right/better? IDK if that is possible but sure seems like it could be. I hate to throw you off but also hate you havent had this thing going yet, lol.

If there is issues with the high speed yes it will foul your plugs, at one time tillotson had a pressure tester for their carbs you attached the pressure pump to the fuel in line and bocked the return line, then pumped it applying pressure as I remember the inlet needle would hold back up to 7 ish psi then release,if a carb would not hold 2 to 5 psi back then fuel would flow freely and flood the motor.I will check on your progress tomorrow good luck.NCT

Larryw I'm sure it's the carb issue. It was fine until the diaphragm messed up it was just hard to start.nct An another question was when I turn the gas on should gas come out if the return line or should it hold back. I would think it should hold it back. An I watched a video on YouTube an they used that tool. Idk where I could find one. Sure would be nice to have around

All fixed. Was that check valve. It was stuck. I got it all hooked up an running good. Even shot some video. Now if I can figure out how to load it from my iPhone. It's not much just me playing around. But still cool

Well after 2 days of a little riding my carb is messing up again I tore it all apart an it seemed fine. I even put the other carb I have in it an it ran some but that carb is messed up too. Any ideas why I'm having so much trouble with flooding? I thought I had it fixed. Might just be time to get ride of the two amphicats I have an up grade. Anyone wanna trade lol

You could always slap a cheap 4 stroke in it and put a new primary clutch on it.

I can't in this one it drives from the right hand side with the pull start on the left. I have a 12 horse Briggs I woulda already dropped in it. I been thinking of putting my other frame I'm this body it has the t10 but I need to replace a couple bearings in it. But now it's getting cold an I do have a bunch of pole barns but they are full lol. I barely have room where I've been keeping it now

I was having a very simular issue with my arctic cat t1a400a i put in my argo. Carb after carb. Then i got real lucky & found a new old stock, still in the box walbro wda1-1 carb & it runs like new on a dime every time. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah I've been looking on eBay for one. There just hasn't been one. I completely rebuilt this one it should be working great but same issues. I was all fired up too. I rode it all over an was getting used to everything.even rolled it. Lol

Idk, did you change the plugs when it stopped running right? Also, did you put new fuel lines on the machine and including the intake line? What about the connection from inside to outside the tank, is that clear? I would get a cheap honda clone for it. Not even the 16hp, just a 13 or something. Harbor freight sells the cheap as does ebay. Your amphicat is light and the tranny does not rob that much power. A smaller engine should work just fine in there. I think a 16 or 18 vanguard would be over kill. Remember, the rpm of an engine determains top speed so as long as the engine has enough umph to move it, all engines that run at 3600rpm will generate the same top speed.

Yes drew all new everything. I've went through a bunch of plugs. I've had it running good a few times. And as I was saying earlier I can't put a different motor in it. I believe the motor in it now is a sa290 r. As it drives off the right side not the left as a regular motor does.
