The last three machines I owned where W/C the differences I noticed was the engine is much quieter,and in summer running the obvious,it runs more of a consistent temperature leading to longer engine life,more consistent performance,and as stated a heater I personally find the heater the biggest gain for us,we tend to run the machine more in the fall,winter,spring.Con,s I have not experienced any at this point,never had a engine or cooling related issue,prior to those machines had a number of Kohler air cooled machines,issues they were heat related,internal ignition coil failures, vapor locked carbs,and the life of the motor was shorter before requiring rings.The added complexity of the W/C system is worth it IMO.N.C.T

Ive found the liquid cooled machines are less likley to get carb. ice than the air cooled ones. With air cooled you have to make the engine run in its own heat to use it much below 20 above zero. Ive operated my MAX at minus 30 with engine heat to start it.
