  • Kawasaki FD620D 20 hp V-twin engine parts

hopefully i will be looking at a 1999 argo conquest this weekend.apparently the engine runs poorly and thats all i know.might be an easy fix or perhaps it might need to be rebuilt.regardless of what the problem is i would like to find a good source for engine parts before i buy it.would be nice to find something comparible to OPE engines for kohler parts.buying parts in canada is just plain nasty,we get violated something terrible for parts and pces.

    cheers.

the 20 hp Kaw is a good engine. I find the carb mount bolts loose at times and the base gasket washed out. I get my parts from Tulsa Engine Whse. They will ship to me if the orders fit in a flat rate box. Dont know how that will work going to Canada?? I talk to Erick at X3201 Hope this helps out.

It probably has a stuck valve and the push rod fell off. Usually easy to fix. Just pull off the valve covers and take a look.

you can have the whole engine if need be Plott, Fd620's are a great engine until they get overheated just one time, then it seems like they never run the same and troublesome, and the pre '02 engines had plastic cam sprokets which are known to strip out easily so easily that John Deere has the all steel conversion kit in stock lol
