  • Ignition switch wont turn off the engine

Does any body have a wiring diagram for the Attex wiring harness? I am trying to find out which wire in the ignition switch turns the engine off. I can't turn off the engine with the switch

The ignition switch sends a ground (or battery negative) to the motor to stop the ign coil from sparking.....depending on what motor you have, there's usually 3 wires coming from under the flywheel. 2 should be the same color and these are the alternator...they go to a voltage regulator. The odd color one should be the engine killl wire.
Put a volt ohm meter on this wire and see if it goes to ground when you turn off the switch. You could have lost the ground @ the switch or I had a resistor under the flywheel go bad in the past.

Hey I got it fixed. One of the Brown and Yellow wires going into the wiring harness plug that goes to the engine was almost broken. Solved the Ignition problem.
