  • Fuel Problems

I recently inherited a broken down argo six wheeler. So I'm new to the Six Wheeler world. For some reason fuel is not getting to the carburator. I'm going to try cleaning out the fuel lines, and installing a new filter. Should this fix it? Is the fuel pump vacume driven? Could the pump be the problem? The engine is a Briggs and Stratton 17 hp Vanguard.

While you are at it you may want to consider changing any old fuel in the tank and putting in new fuel, clean the carb as well. Depends on the machine and the type of fuel pump...some are pulse type while other people have installed a low (2-4psi) 12v type of fuel pump.
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

Change the fuel lines, filter, and pump, as well as cleaning the carb and fuel tank and it should flow just fine. The lines and pump can deteriorate causing junk to get in the carb.

            Brakes

Disc i beleive. Right one works perfect. Left not at all, its missing a piece of rubber that goes aruond the pump rod. It may be the problem
