  • Kawasaki 20hp carb issues

Hi, I have just dug out an old conquest which has been lying under a cover for 5 years.

It only has 295 hours on it, which for over here is very little.

Fuel getting to carb, bowl full, but it won't start, I have stripped carb but still can't get it to fire, if I spray fuel into carb it fires right away.

I have stripped out jet, but I am not familiar with these setups.

Any help would be great, thanks.

strip it down as far as possible.run a wire through every passage way you can find.give it a healthy dose of good carb cleaner and compressed air.mine was plugged full of crud.

Thanks. I have cleaned it out best I can. I will strip it down and go through it all again.

Solenoid not working. Disconnected and now starts and runs.

I will give it a tune up when I strip the machine for a refurb.

Thank you very much for your help

            Rory

Het Plott, what the heck is that solenoid for anyway? I ended up cutting the tip of it off after an hour or so of troubleshooting it in the middle of nowhere, thanks to one of RD's videos I seen way back.

its supposed to prevent run-on after key is turned off.my lawn tractor has it and its never given me any grief.
